Crocmaz village modernizes, becoming more attractive to residents through investments
The village of Crocmaz, located in the Ștefan Vodă district, serves as a successful example of rural transformation. This progress has been supported by investments from the European Village and European Village Express programs. One of the most significant achievements in the village has been the modernization of educational institutions, which are crucial for shaping the community’s future from an early age.

At the “Guguță” kindergarten-nursery, in addition to toys and excellent play facilities, children also benefit from a sports hall, completely rehabilitated through the European Village Express Program.
“Currently, we have 120 children attending the kindergarten and we have built a small sports hall for the children to do sports, we also have a room with equipment for the kindergarten staff who can come in their free time”, mentioned the mayor of Crocmaz, Ion Veleșco.
Through such investments, local authorities and European partners are laying the foundations for a healthy and prosperous community, in which caring for children becomes caring for the future of the entire village. In the same direction, local authorities have continued to invest in school infrastructure.
At the “Ecaterina Malcoci” Lyceum, renovation works have brought a visible change, the building is now energy efficient, with a thermally insulated facade and a new roof, designed to ensure the comfort of students in any season.
"We invest, the heat is preserved and it is more resistant, and it is cooler in the summer, the children have better conditions. It is the last object that we need to repair publicly, the gymnasium, the kindergarten is repaired, it is thermally insulated and has a roof. We have created better conditions for the students", declared the mayor of Crocmaz, on the show "Land and People".
Another critical step in the development of the locality is improving the road infrastructure. The rehabilitated roads connect the village of Crocmaz with neighboring villages, but also the households with each other, facilitating access to services and markets. Thus, the village becomes more attractive and safer for the inhabitants.
