Twenty guitars, hidden in cars imported from abroad: seizure at Leușeni customs
Employees at the Leușeni customs post have successfully prevented an attempt to illegally import 20 guitars into the Republic of Moldova. The musical instruments were concealed within vehicles brought in from abroad.
According to the Customs Service, a 50-year-old foreign driver arrived at the Leușeni customs point in a Scania truck. He informed customs officers that he was only transporting cars.
However, thorough inspections by customs officials revealed that 20 undeclared guitars were concealed within the imported vehicles.
The musical instruments were confiscated, and law enforcement officers are continuing their investigation.
