Tragedy in Chișinău college: 16-year-old student dies suddenly during gym class
A 16-year-old student died suddenly on Monday, October 27, in the sports hall of the Center of Excellence in Informatics and Information Technologies in Chisinau.
Police and an emergency medical team arrived at the scene following a report of a minor in distress. Despite resuscitation efforts, the individual could not be saved, according to Svetlana Scripnic, press officer of the Chisinau Police Department, in a statement to Teleradio-Moldova.
Preliminary investigations indicated that no signs of violent death were found on the body. Forensic doctors are set to determine the cause of the student's death.
When contacted by Teleradio-Moldova, representatives of the educational institution declined to provide further details, stating that the information cannot be disclosed at this time.
