Defense Ministry: No unauthorized overflights detected in Moldova’s airspace

The Ministry of Defense announced that the National Army's airspace monitoring systems did not detect any overflights over the Republic of Moldova last night. This statement comes in response to reports on certain Telegram channels claiming there were unauthorized flights in the northern part of the country.
The institution reports that the authorities are continuously monitoring the situation and are prepared to intervene in case of any risks.
Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the airspace of the Republic of Moldova has been violated multiple times by Russian drones, with at least three of these drones exploding on Moldovan territory.
The Moldovan authorities have consistently condemned the aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, labeling it a blatant violation of international law and a direct threat to regional security. They also openly state that the Republic of Moldova is the target of a hybrid war instigated and fueled by actors from Moscow.
