Drivers must use headlights during the day starting November 1

Drivers are required, from November 1 to March 31 inclusive, to drive with dipped headlights on during the day. According to the Police, the purpose of this measure is to increase the visibility of vehicles in traffic and reduce the risk of accidents, especially in weather conditions specific to the cold season: fog, rain, snow or reduced visibility.
Drivers are urged to check the functionality of the lighting system before setting off, to adapt the speed to traffic conditions, to maintain a safe distance between vehicles and to avoid risky maneuvers and unsecured overtaking.
Law enforcement officers remind that failure to comply with the obligation to connect the headlights constitutes a minor offence and is sanctioned according to the legislation in force.
*"Respect traffic rules - for your safety and that of those around you!" concluded the Police.
