It’s important to note that starting August 1, consumers pay less for electricity: 3 lei and 59 bani per kilowatt, which is 51 bani lower than the previous tariff for residents in the central and southern regions of the country.
Consumers in the northern districts of the republic are now paying 4 lei, which is 68 bani less than before.
Additionally, until December, all citizens benefit from electricity compensation provided by the government with support from the EU.
Currently, each family pays the initial 110 kWh at lower rates until the price increases in January 2025. Specifically, consumers in the central and southern regions of Moldova pay for the first 110 kWh at a rate of 2 lei and 34 bani, whereas those in the northern region pay 2 lei and 84 bani.
