Agreement signed: Chinese teachers will teach the Chinese language in Moldovan schools

Students from the Republic of Moldova will now have increased opportunities to study Chinese both domestically and at educational institutions in China. On November 5, the Government of Chisinau approved the signing of a Cooperation Agreement between the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova and the Ministry of Education of China. This agreement establishes a foundation for a broader partnership in Chinese language education.

The document outlines the plans for sending Chinese teachers and volunteers to educational institutions in the Republic of Moldova. It also includes the training of local teachers, the provision of scholarships for studies in China, and the development of necessary teaching materials.

Additionally, the agreement encompasses the organization of language proficiency tests and support for Moldovan youth to participate in international educational and cultural activities, such as summer and winter camps in China.

"The signing of this agreement represents an important step in the development of bilateral relations between Moldova and China by promoting educational, cultural, and academic exchanges," stated Dan Perciun, the Minister of Education and Research, during a government meeting.

The agreement is set to be signed at the 2025 World Chinese Language Conference, which will take place in Beijing. Its implementation will be overseen by the Ministry of Education and Research in collaboration with the Center for Language Education and Cooperation under the Ministry of Education of China.
