Moldova opens submissions for Eurovision 2026

The national broadcaster, Teleradio-Moldova (TRM), has officially opened the registration for selecting the Moldova Representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026.

The submission period for applications runs from November 7 to December 7, 2025. The National Selection process will unfold in three distinct stages: application review, mandatory live auditions, and the decisive Grand National Final.

Entrants must adhere to strict Song Contest rules: all musical creations must be original, have a maximum duration of three minutes, and crucially, must not have been publicly released before September 1, 2025. Further details, including the complete regulation, are available on the eurovision.md website.

In a new move, TRM has appointed two official contest producers, Serghei Orlov and Roman Burlaca, for the first time. They will oversee the entire selection, evaluate the submitted entries, and establish the official list of finalists. Their role will then extend to mentoring the participants as they prepare for the National Final and the subsequent international stage in Vienna.

The 70th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest is set to be organized in Vienna, Austria. Mark your calendars: the two semi-finals are scheduled for May 12 and 14, and the final is slated for May 16, 2026.

The Republic of Moldova is preparing for its 20th participation in the international competition. Indeed, the country’s best historical result at Eurovision remains the third-place finish by the band SunStroke Project in 2017 with the popular song "Hey mamma."
