Technical issues close Moldovan-Ukrainian border points
Several Moldovan-Ukrainian border crossing points (BCPs) with joint customs control have temporarily suspended operations, and transit is severely limited at the remaining BCPs.
The Ukrainian authorities cannot process vehicles due to technical issues and malfunctions within the information systems of their border control agencies.
"We are in dialogue with the relevant institutions of the neighboring state," the Border Police of the Republic of Moldova stated, "They informed us that actions are being urgently taken to remedy the situation as soon as possible."
Currently, the necessary measures are being implemented to manage the substantial flow of travelers, aiming to minimize the inconvenience and travel disruption this situation causes.
People planning to cross the Moldova-Ukraine border are strongly advised of this situation and are urged to show understanding and patience.
