Dozens of drummers performed in downtown Chișinău for a charitable cause
Dozens of drummers filled the center of the capital with rhythm and emotion during a charity event dedicated to a noble cause. The concert was organized to raise funds in support of Daria Pleșcan, a young woman who is battling Hodgkin's lymphoma, a common form of cancer. The event attracted many visitors, who showed their generosity by donating to help Daria in her fight against the disease.
The charity event brought together drummers, musicians, and motorcyclists in the Great National Assembly Square. They held a concert lasting about an hour, creating an atmosphere filled with energy and solidarity. Many visitors mentioned they learned about the event through social media.
“We saw this announcement on social networks and decided to come and participate. Although we don’t know the girl, I believe you don’t have to know someone to help,” said one participant.
“We are all people, and we need to support each other,” added another.
“Who if not us? We must support one another,” stated a participant.
“We want to help someone in a difficult situation, and on top of that, children enjoy music. We’re combining business with pleasure,” said another visitor.
Daria, an 18-year-old and the daughter of guitarist Evghenii Pleșcan, learned about her life-changing illness at the age of 16. Doctors in her country did everything possible to help her, but her only real chance for recovery is an expensive operation in Israel.
“She underwent chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and additional chemotherapy sessions. After two years, the disease returned, and based on all the tests, she now needs a bone marrow transplant. However, the cost of the operation is very high. She began her university studies this year at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, and her dream is to help animals. I am grateful to the people of Chisinau and our country. Thank you, kind-hearted people!” said Daria’s father, Evgenii Pleșcan.
“Evghenii’s friend called me and asked if I could make a post, so I thought I should gather everyone together. There are very few good people here, and I urge everyone to help each other,” said drummer Alexandr Chernovschii.
A bone marrow transplant could save Daria’s life. The total cost of her treatment is €69,700, which must be raised within 26 days. Several bank accounts have been opened to collect donations to make this intervention possible.
