Christmas tree in the center of Chisinau will be inaugurated on December 5
Chisinau Municipality started preparing for the winter holidays. The inauguration of the Christmas tree, the traditional fair, and the festive lighting is scheduled for December 5, as announced by the general mayor of the capital, Ion Ceban, on November 10.
"We are currently in mid-November, and the winter holidays are approaching. I request that everything necessary be prepared by the 5th to launch both the Christmas Fair and all related visual and infrastructure aspects. This will ensure that we can successfully organize and celebrate these holidays," the mayor stated at today's meeting of the Chisinau City Hall.
Ion Ceban announced that municipal directorates and sector prices, including those responsible for transport, culture, and communal management, were given clear instructions to finalize all necessary arrangements by early December.
The mayor also encouraged local businesses to enhance the city’s holiday spirit by decorating their spaces. “Together, we can create a beautiful atmosphere for the winter holidays,” said the mayor.
During the same meeting, Ion Ceban highlighted that the festive atmosphere in the capital has become a cherished tradition among both Chisinau residents and visitors from other regions in recent years.
We remind you that Chisinau City Hall previously inaugurated the Christmas Tree in Great National Assembly Square on December 1, in line with the tradition observed in most European capitals.
