Romanian Senate delegation on defense visit to Moldova

A delegation from the Romanian Senate Commission for Defense, Public Order and National Security begins a working visit to the Republic of Moldova from November 11–13.

The delegation is led by the Commission's president, Senator Nicoleta Pauliuc.

According to the Parliament's press service, the Romanian delegation is scheduled to meet and hold high-level talks with key Moldovan officials, including President Maia Sandu, Speaker Igor Grosu, and Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu.

The three-day agenda also includes discussions with Parliament's Vice President Doina Gherman, the President of the Committee for Foreign Policy, and deputies from the Parliamentary Group of Friendship with the Romanian Parliament, which is led by Veronica Roșca. This emphasizes the continuous development of bilateral cooperation between the two parliaments.

Furthermore, a joint session is planned between the respective defense and security commissions of the Moldovan Parliament and the Romanian Senate. This meeting will likely focus on shared regional defense and security challenges.

At the Government, the Romanian delegation will meet with Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Defense Minister Anatolie Nosatîi, Minister of Internal Affairs Daniella Misail-Nichitin, and Ana Revenco, the Director of the Center for Strategic Communication and Countering Disinformation.
