Royal House of Romania reconfirms support for the European integration of the Republic of Moldova

The Royal House of Romania will continue to support the Republic of Moldova in its efforts for European integration and the modernization of the country. This statement was made during a meeting on Thursday between Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu, Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Romanian Crown, and His Royal Highness Prince Radu.

The officials praised the strong and friendly relations between our countries, as well as productive cooperation across various areas, including the economy, administration, education, culture, and sustainable development, according to a press release from the Government in Chisinau.
Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu expressed gratitude for Romania’s unwavering support for the Republic of Moldova, stating, “Moldova continues to depend on the backing of the Royal House of Romania, particularly in European capitals, as we pursue our aspirations for European integration. Citizens on both sides of the Prut benefit when we work together to build bridges in education, research, culture, health, and in social or humanitarian efforts.”
The Prime Minister highlighted the success of the Moldovan-Romanian Economic Forum, held in Chisinau under the patronage of the Royal House. This event brought together over 500 entrepreneurs from both Romania and the Republic of Moldova, along with local elected officials and business associations, providing a robust platform for exchanging ideas, launching investment partnerships, and initiating joint projects in digitalization, high-performance agriculture, and green economy.
He also thanked the Royal House for its initiatives in education, including the annual "King Mihai" and "Queen Ana" scholarships, awarded to two students each from the Technical University of Moldova and the State University of Moldova. Additionally, he acknowledged the Royal House's patronage of the "King Mihai I" Theoretical Lyceum in Cimișeni, Criuleni district.
Furthermore, the Royal House of Romania organizes an annual event dedicated to the Republic of Moldova at the Elisabeta Palace. This event aims to strengthen the ties between people from both sides of the Prut, reads the press release.
