"Fast Heroes" arrives in Chisinau schools with interactive lessons on recognizing stroke symptoms

The educational project "Fast Heroes" will be launched in Chisinau, aiming to teach children how to recognize the signs of a stroke and how to respond appropriately to save lives. This initiative, carried out by the Center for Health Strategies and Policies (CSPS), involves primary school students and teachers in raising awareness about the dangers of stroke.

“It is a pilot project that we are launching in Chisinau. This educational initiative has already received awards and is designed to raise awareness about the symptoms of stroke and the importance of taking urgent action,” explained CSPS director Inga Pasecnic.
According to her, the project leverages children's enthusiasm to learn and share the information they receive, especially since they spend a lot of time with their grandparents.
“Encouraging children to spread knowledge to their families is very important. Previous educational projects related to healthy lifestyles have proven to be effective when implemented in schools, as children are the best messengers of information to their families,” added Pasecnic.
The “Fast Heroes” program includes games and interactive lessons that make the learning process both fun and effective.
“Our mission is to raise awareness about the symptoms of stroke and the necessity for immediate action. The project involves teachers, who will play a key role in educating students about the signs of stroke,” the official emphasized.
This internationally recognized project has already reached over a million children and has been included in the Guinness Book of Records. “Moldova, by participating in this initiative, will become a safe zone for stroke awareness,” Inga Pasecnic noted.
CSPS representatives emphasize that targeting primary grades is intentional; children of this age are often the first to notice changes in their grandparents' health. Pasecnic points out that prevention and rapid response are essential: in the Republic of Moldova, there are specialized centers for stroke treatment, but patients must arrive in time to be saved.
