Forgery alert: false letter using Defense Minister’s name online

A fake thank-you letter, purportedly signed by Anatolie Nosatîi, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Moldova, was circulated on some Telegram channels and promoted on social media. The Ministry of Defense stated that the document features a forged signature, a non-existent stamp, an invented letterhead, and other clearly fraudulent elements.

"The document is clearly a forgery meant to harm the reputation of state institutions," reads a statement from the Ministry of Defense.

The authorities emphasize that this forgery is intended to undermine the public's trust in the foreign partnerships of the Republic of Moldova.

The Ministry of Defense encourages citizens to seek information only from official sources and to avoid being swayed by misleading materials, as these could jeopardize the stability and security of society.

We remind you that in recent months, numerous false documents have circulated online. Authorities have linked these to the tactics of the hybrid war being waged against the Republic of Moldova by the Russian Federation, which aims to obstruct our country's path towards Europe.
