Neymar scores and concedes penalty as FC Santos draws 1-1 with Mirasol

Neymar Júnior experienced both success and failure in a crucial Brazilian Serie A fixture for FC Santos.
In the 34th round, the Alvinegro team hosted FC Mirasol at the Vila Belmiro stadium, with the match ending in a 1-1 draw.
The forward initially put Santos ahead, opening the scoring in the fourth minute by finishing a swift counter-attack launched after an opposing corner kick.
However, Neymar was later responsible for the opposition’s equaliser. In the second half, he committed a foul on Reinaldo inside the penalty area. Referee Matheus Delgado awarded a penalty, which Reinaldo converted before celebrating his goal.
The 1-1 draw leaves FC Santos in a precarious position in the Serie A standings. They currently occupy 16th place with 37 points, placing them only one point above FC Vitória Salvador, which holds the first relegation spot. Conversely, FC Mirasol secured 60 points and remains fourth, a position that guarantees direct Copa Libertadores qualification. Four rounds remain in the championship season.
