Red Bull Racing's Dutch driver Max Verstappen won the Las Vegas Grand Prix, but Britain's Lando Norris remains the strong favorite to clinch the Formula 1 World Championship title.

Despite starting on pole position, Norris surrendered the lead to Verstappen at the very start of the race. Furthermore, the overall standings leader was also overtaken by George Russell. However, with 16 laps remaining, Norris fought back to claim second place. Verstappen, however, was already too far ahead.

Norris currently holds 408 points in the standings, with his McLaren teammate, Australian Oscar Piastri, on 378 points, and Verstappen trailing with 366. Only two races remain until the end of the season: the Qatar Grand Prix on November 30 and the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in the United Arab Emirates on December 7.
