Border Police: Shahed drone crossed southern Moldova and entered Romania

A Shahed drone was detected in the airspace of the Republic of Moldova on the morning of November 25, 2025, in the southern region of the country, according to the Border Police.
The Air Operations Service of the Ministry of Defense observed a drone traveling in the direction of Vinogradovca to Vulcănești. It then moved towards the border with Romania, crossing the area between Colibași (Cahul district) and Vadul lui Isac, ultimately entering Romanian airspace. Romanian authorities were promptly notified.
Intervention teams are currently inspecting the route mentioned, and so far, no objects or fragments posing a risk to the public have been found.
The Border Police stated that national institutions and international partners are in constant communication, and measures for border surveillance and security are being upheld.
This is not the first time that a Russian drone or missile linked to attacks on Ukraine has entered the airspace of the Republic of Moldova. This incident marks the second occurrence in the past month. Additionally, several similar incidents have been reported in recent years, including drones landing on Moldovan territory, missile fragments found in both the north and south, and multiple illegal airspace crossings, some of which have been confirmed by authorities in Romania and Ukraine.
