1.2 million lei worth of drugs from Poland: two moldovans suspected

Authorities seized nearly one kilogram of drugs valued at around 1.2 million lei during raids in Chisinau. Two individuals were arrested.
The Prosecutor's Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Cases has reported that drugs, including amphetamine and mephedrone, were smuggled from Poland in unaccompanied packages.
A 35-year-old man with a law degree and a 25-year-old woman were detained while attempting to sell these narcotics.
At the Prosecutor's Office's request, the defendants were placed in preventive detention by order of the investigating judge. This decision was made "for the purpose of a proper investigation, while maintaining the presumption of innocence, in accordance with the law," reads a press release from the institution.
