In Chișinău, a 13-year-old girl was assaulted; the perpetrator was jailed
A 13-year-old girl from the capital was sexually abused by a 27-year-old man from Azerbaijan. For the crime committed, the foreign citizen was sentenced to 13 years in prison, to be served in a closed prison.
The Chisinau Court in Buiucani pronounced the sentence.
According to the General Prosecutor's Office, the individual recruited the victim online and harassed her near the school where she studied.
Later, in April 2025, he forced her to go to a forest strip in the Chisinau municipality, where he abused her by threatening her with a knife.
Although the defendant did not admit his guilt, the court also decided to expel him from the country after serving his sentence.
