Bogdan Aurescu: The situation in the Republic of Moldova will be discussed at the meeting of the ministers of foreign affairs from the EU member states
Attempts to destabilize the situation in the Republic of Moldova is again in the attention of the European Union. The evolution of the events in Chisinau will be put on the agenda of the Foreign Affairs Council meeting in Brussels on Monday, at the initiative of the head of diplomacy from Bucharest, Bogdan Aurescu.
A press release issued by the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reads that Bogdan Aurescu will make references to the security situation in the Republic of Moldova and the destabilizing actions aimed at the pro-European administration. Moreover, Romania will encourage the member states to continue sending support for the pro-European government in Chisinau. Aurescu will request the continuation of European Union support on multiple levels for the authorities of the Republic of Moldova. Also, during the meeting in Brussels, the Romanian foreign minister will emphasize the need to create a new regime of sanctions, aimed at the persons responsible for destabilizing actions in the Republic of Moldova, an aspect that Romania is already working on, reads the quoted press release .
