Gymnasium in Singureni will be named after former Minister of Education Leonid Bujor
The gymnasium in the village of Singureni, located in the Râşcani district, will be named in honor of Leonid Bujor, a former deputy and Minister of Education. This decision serves as a tribute to the late politician, who would have turned 70 this year. According to his relatives, Leonid Bujor was born in Singureni and held a deep affection for his hometown.

"Our institution receives a spiritual baptism—a name that will hold us even more accountable and inspire us to undertake even more remarkable activities. It is a name that the entire school community can take pride in," says Tatiana Cojocaru, the director of the "Leonid Bujor" gymnasium.
"Leonid cared deeply for his village and took great pride in it. He often said that whenever he left Bălți, his heart would start racing because he was going home to his parents, brothers, and sisters. We always came here with love for the village of Singureni," shares Valentina Bujor, wife of Leonid Bujor.
Leonid Bujor served as a deputy from 2005 to 2009 and subsequently was appointed Minister of Education. Those who knew him say he placed great emphasis on advancing education.
"The Singureni village gymnasium has always been, and will continue to be, one of the best in the Râșcani district. I thank you all and wish you good health and success," said Alexandr Bujor, Leonid Bujor's father.
"This is a tribute to the late Leonid Bujor, an event that will undoubtedly remain unforgettable for us."
"It is a surprising honor for the institution to bear his name. This is something memorable and special for us."
"We are proud of this change in our community."
