During a show on the public television station, the head of state declared that a consolidated justice system is needed to build a developed country.

The Anti-Corruption Court could be created by the end of this year. During the Punctul pe Azi program from TVR Moldova, the president of the Parliament’s Legal Commission Olesea Stamate, stated that the idea of creating the Anti-Corruption Court was also found in the PAS electoral platform, but they were not sure if the new court was necessary.

"At one point, we thought we could manage without creating a specialized court, but now, we see how the examination of cases in the courts moves, the courts are indeed very busy, but the litigants are also very skilled to delay the examination of the files and to postpone the hearings indefinitely, I said that, without a specialized court, we probably will not succeed in having these files examined in the fastest possible terms. It will be a specialized court, composed of a certain number of judges, depending on the cases that we decide to offer to the jurisdiction of this court ", said Olesea Stamate.

We remind you that, on Friday, March 17, the General Assembly of Judges, convened after a four-year hiatus, decided to postpone the appointment of the four permanent members and one substitute judge in the Superior Council of Magistracy to April 28.
