Romania National Day: High-altitude anthem and military parade

On Romania's National Day, passengers aboard a Tarom flight were treated to a surprise high-altitude performance, courtesy of the Romanian Gendarmerie.
The Gendarmerie later released images of a gendarme interpreting the Romanian Anthem at ten thousand meters—a unique tribute for the December 1st celebration.
Romania celebrates this Monday, December 1st, marking 107 years since the Great Union, the historic 1918 event when Transylvania, Banat, Crișana, and Maramureș united with the Kingdom of Romania, laying the foundations of the modern national state. This year’s edition, themed "Centenary Romania and the Future," highlights the Union’s historical legacy and also recognizes the NATO anniversary—20 years since Romania’s accession.
The Romania National Day is officially marked in Bucharest by an impressive military parade featuring nearly 2,000 soldiers and over 200 military vehicles and equipment. The official ceremony begins at 11:00 AM, with detachments parading under the Triumphal Arch and 45 aircraft performing a flyover. Troops from the Republic of Moldova, France, Poland, and the United States will join the Romanian Armed Forces.
Dedicated events are also taking place in Romania's major cities, most notably in Alba Iulia, where the traditional parade for the centenary celebration typically attracts thousands.
The leadership of the Republic of Moldova conveyed messages of congratulation on the occasion of Romania's National Day.
