Parliament Speaker of the Republic of Latvia is coming to Chisinau

The Parliament Speaker of the Republic of Latvia Edvards Smiltēns will be on an official visit to the Republic of Moldova from March 21 to 23, reads a press release from the Legislative. The Latvian official will have meetings with the country's leadership - the president of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, the Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu, the Prime Minister Dorin Recean and other officials.

During the visit to Chisinau, the Speaker of the Seimas of the Republic of Latvia will have a meeting with representatives of civil society and with members of the civic initiative "Moldova for Peace", which provides assistance to refugees from Ukraine.

According to the program, the Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu and his counterpart Edvards Smiltēns, will plant trees at the "Alexandru Ciubotaru" National Botanical Garden.
