Job vacancies increased in the third quarter with over 13,000 openings in the public sector

In the third quarter of this year, the number of job vacancies increased by over a thousand, which is a 3.5 percent rise compared to the previous quarter. By the end of this period, approximately 39,000 vacancies were recorded, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), resulting in a vacancy rate of nearly five percent. Of these total job vacancies, more than 13,000—around 39 percent—were identified in the budgetary sector.

According to data presented by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), the highest number of vacant positions was found in public administration, defense, and mandatory social insurance, with over 8,000 openings. In health and social assistance, there were 4,600 vacant positions, while in education there were around 4,000 job vacancies.

On the other hand, companies in the extractive industry and real estate reported between 100 and 400 vacant positions.

Compared with the second quarter of 2025, the largest increases in available jobs were observed in accommodation and public catering, trade, maintenance, motor vehicle repair, and construction.

In contrast, the largest decreases in vacant positions occurred in the transport and storage sector and in health and social assistance.
