Criuleni officially received a major upgrade: a new pedestrian boulevard and riverside park

The residents of Criuleni now enjoy a modernized pedestrian boulevard and a fully redeveloped riverside park. This transformation was announced by the Regional Development Agency (ADR) Centru, following the completion of the project titled "Reconstruction of the Mihai Eminescu Pedestrian Boulevard and the Development of the Riverside City Park in Criuleni." The project, which was supported by local authorities and financed by the National Fund for Regional and Local Development, has turned one of the city's most significant areas into accessible, safe, and modern recreational spaces for the community.

Project completed and officially received

The on-site reception meeting marked the completion of the project, during which several specialists evaluated and confirmed the recently finished work. The event was attended by representatives from ADR Centru, the Criuleni City Hall, the contracting company, technical managers, and representatives of the decentralized services in the district.

Representatives from ADR Centru noted that the project, initiated last summer, aimed to transform the city center into a friendlier and safer environment for citizens. A press release from the organization highlighted that "residents and visitors of the city of Criuleni can enjoy a redeveloped pedestrian boulevard and a revitalized riverside park," offering new opportunities for walking, socializing, sports activities, and enjoying the outdoors.

Work completed and investments made

The project included the arrangement of "2.2667 hectares of green spaces," and the creation of pedestrian routes and illuminated areas totaling "8,901 square meters." These are suitable for walking, running, cycling, and accessing sports facilities. Additionally, a multi-sports field was constructed, and "over 200 pieces of urban furniture" were installed.

The total cost of the work amounted to 14.35 million lei. This included "11.57 million lei allocated from the National Fund for Regional and Local Development," along with a contribution of 2.78 million lei from local authorities.

Impact on the community and city development

According to ADR Centru, the improvements made in the central area and the riverside park represent not only a noticeable enhancement of the urban landscape but also a strategic investment in the development of Criuleni. The new pedestrian areas, green spaces, accessible mobility routes, and sports infrastructure all contribute to enhancing the quality of life and fostering community activities.

Local authorities believe that these improvements will positively impact the economy by stimulating economic activity and attracting new investment to the region.

The project was carried out by the Government of the Republic of Moldova through the ADR Centru, with funding from the National Fund for Regional and Local Development.
