Trușeni welcomes Petru Leuca Football Academy’s new branch

An important step has been taken for the development of football in the Trușeni commune of Chișinău municipality. Striker Petru Leuca has inaugurated the second branch of the Football Academy named after him. Approximately 50 children will be trained by three coaches on the artificial mini-field at Gymnasium Nb. 99 "Gheorghe Madan."

"I have the chance to become stronger, more resilient, and better at everything," said one of the children.

"Through the Academy, I can become a professional footballer," said another young player.

"The child is enthusiastic, and the coach is punctual," emphasized the mother of a boy who is part of the Petru Leuca Football Academy.

"I want every child to reach a high level and represent the Republic of Moldova, and we will guide them," said Petru Leuca.

The Petru Leuca Academy was established as part of the "Football in Schools" project implemented by the Moldovan Football Federation. Petru Leuca has several collaborators, including Vlad Lupașcu, a striker registered with Dacia-Buiucani Chişinău, who hails from Truşeni.

"For me, it is an indescribable pride and responsibility. All my fellow villagers will benefit from quality football," emphasized Vlad Lupașcu, coach of the Petru Leuca Football Academy.

"We will support Petru Leuca and the Football Academy by providing proper clothing and footwear for future football players," stated sports collaborator Viorel Guțu.

"The Truşeni commune has always produced very good football players. There was a time when we stagnated because we didn’t have a suitable field. The children had to commute to Chișinău. However, their love for football brought them together at the Petru Leuca Academy," pointed out Viorica Beregoi, mayor of Truşeni commune.

Petru Leuca is 35 years old and was last registered with Spartanii-Sportul Selemet.
