Minister of Culture warns: Ciolac-Malski Mansion deteriorates year by year

The Minister of Culture, Cristian Jardan, recently visited the Ciolac-Malski mansion in the village of Bahmut, located in the Călărași district. His visit highlighted the concerning condition of this historical monument. During the visit, he engaged with local authorities to discuss the necessary steps for preserving and enhancing this heritage site, emphasizing the need for immediate action.

The Minister of Culture shared on his Facebook page, "During my brief visit to the Ciolac-Malski mansion in the village of Bahmut, Călărași, while traveling from Ungheni to Chisinau, I found the building to be very beautiful and located in one of the most picturesque regions of our country." However, he expressed concern about its condition.
Cristian Jardan noted that the mansion has been "left to decay," and with each passing year, it continues to deteriorate.
During his visit, the Minister discussed potential solutions for the conservation and revitalization of the monument with the local mayor. "I spoke with the mayor about the initial steps we can take together to preserve this monument and explore ways to enhance its value," Jardan stated.
He also highlighted that the situation of the Ciolac-Malski mansion represents a larger issue, as many mansions across the country are facing similar conditions of neglect and decay.
