Head of Technical Supervision Inspectorate resigns; Vladimir Bolea approves request

After four years in the position, Ion Moraru has resigned as head of the National Inspectorate for Technical Supervision (INST). This announcement was made by Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea, the Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development.

Vladimir Bolea announced on his Facebook page that he has accepted the resignation of Mr. Ion Moraru, the head of the National Inspectorate for Technical Supervision (INST).

Bolea emphasized that the current conditions in the construction sector necessitate a new approach. He stated, "Compliance with the law must be the number one commitment for everyone involved, including both authorities and entrepreneurs."

The National Inspectorate for Technical Supervision is a public authority responsible for overseeing technical control and supervision. Its inspectors ensure that technical and safety standards are met at construction sites and industrial facilities as well as by economic agents.

Ion Moraru, who graduated from the Technical University of Moldova, was appointed director of the institution in November 2021 after successfully competing for the position.
