The National Crisis Management Center (CNMC) reported that the intensification of Russian attacks on southern Ukraine has caused significant damage and disruptions to essential logistics routes. As a result, it has become necessary to temporarily redirect some commercial transports, including trucks carrying vital products, through the Republic of Moldova.

The CNMC emphasizes that this transit is crucial to prevent major supply interruptions. They state, "The transit of these trucks is necessary to ensure the continuity of the supply of essential products, humanitarian aid, and other vital goods for the population affected by the war." The organization also warns that a complete blockage of these routes could have serious consequences for the humanitarian and economic situation in the region.

The authorities in Chisinau assert that Moldova is participating in this regional solidarity effort to the best of its abilities. This includes a coordinated mobilization of institutions responsible for managing the situation. The CNMC is overseeing the process in collaboration with the Border Police, the Customs Service, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, the National Motor Transport Agency, the Police, the General Inspectorate for Emergencies, and other relevant entities.

The CNMC has assured that measures are in place to control transport flows, enforce strict customs and security procedures, and maintain ongoing cooperation with Ukrainian authorities. These efforts aim to prevent significant blockages and minimize the impact on internal traffic. Additionally, measures are being implemented to protect road infrastructure, maintain public order, and secure the border.

To support Ukrainian citizens affected by the war, the General Inspectorate for Emergencies has set up a temporary mobile camp near the Palanca - Maiaki - Udobnoe border crossing point, where humanitarian aid and first-aid services are provided.

Authorities are continuously monitoring the situation, and measures will be adjusted as needed in response to developments in the region to ensure support remains efficient and responsible.
