The head of the government in Bucharest, Nicolae Ionel Ciucă, is paying a visit to Chisinau today, 23 March. The Romanian Prime Minister is currently holding a meeting at the Presidency with the head of state, Maia Sandu. The meeting is taking place behind closed doors.
On the eve of his visit to the Republic of Moldova, Nicolae Ciucă reconfirmed Romania's support for the Republic of Moldova on the path to European integration.
Nicolae Ciucă is due to meet Prime Minister Dorin Recean and the head of the Chisinau Parliament, Igor Grosu.
In Chisinau, the Romanian Prime Minister, accompanied by a government delegation, will hold meetings with the country's top leadership.
Also today, members of parliament from Romania and Moldova are meeting in Chisinau for a joint meeting of the legal committees.
