Moldova allocates €1.27 million to fund Transnistria reintegration projects in 2026

The Moldovan Government has allocated 25 million MDL for the financing of national reintegration activities.
These resources, earmarked in the 2026 State Budget Law, will be distributed through a public call for projects announced on December 31.
Eligible projects must be implemented in localities within the Security Zone to support the country’s reintegration process. The executive will prioritize initiatives with major community impact and those aimed at improving essential public services.
Funding timeline and criteria
Public authorities may submit applications between January 12 and February 27, 2026. The original files must be filed with the State Chancellery for evaluation by a government-appointed selection committee.
The 2026 program targets €1.27 million (approx. 25 million MDL) toward modernizing services on both banks of the Dniester River. Funding will also bolster energy resilience and support Romanian-language educational institutions.
Strategic priorities for 2026
A core focus of the fund involves supporting residents in the Transnistrian region who face human rights violations. Significant resources are also directed toward Dubăsari district farmers and regional healthcare initiatives.
Through this competitive selection, the government aims to strengthen the efficiency of public administration. The final list of projects will be approved after the completion of all procedural evaluation stages.
