Vadim Krasnoselski: Tiraspol is ready to work in any format. Reintegration Policy Office says dialogue will continue in "1+1" format

Tiraspol leader Vadim Krasnoselski says the authorities on the left bank of the Dniester are ready to work in any format, just to keep peace in the region. Moreover, he says the OSCE mission has an important role to play in this respect. Representatives of the Reintegration Policy Office in Chisinau also agree, saying that the OSCE mission acts as a mediator in the negotiation process and as a facilitator in maintaining dialogue on neutral platforms. However, at the moment, negotiations can only continue in the "1+1" format, says the Reintegration Bureau.

"As difficult as it is, we have to talk, we have to move forward. Here, if we are talking about the OSCE mission, I am hopeful. Why? Because I think the mission here in Transnistria is useful. I think it is useful for further negotiations between Tiraspol and Chisinau on the issues that are on the agenda. It is also about Berlin and Berlin+. New issues arise, which need to be discussed," says Vadim Krasnoselski.

Contacted by Moldova 1, Reintegration Policy Office spokesperson Mariana Sarî says the dialogue will continue in the "1+1" format.

"The Moldovan government's programme and action plan expressly include a commitment to continue the dialogue in the "1+1" negotiating format and in sectoral working groups, with the participation of experts from both sides of the Dniester. Further interaction will be ensured in these formats in order to identify technical solutions to the most pressing problems faced by the inhabitants of the eastern districts of the country and the security zone", said Mariana Sarî.

Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian said that there had been several working visits to Tiraspol for negotiations in the "1+1" format, but the parties had failed to reach a common denominator.
