Foreign citizen detained with 88 undeclared vials at the airport
He planned to fly from Chisinau to Bratislava with 88 vials of an unidentified substance. A 31-year-old Slovak citizen is under investigation by law enforcement and faces sanctions.
The case was registered at the "Eugen Doga" International Airport in Chisinau.
"During control procedures conducted in conjunction with the border police, a batch of 88 vials containing unidentified substances was discovered in a passenger's luggage. These vials were not declared to customs authorities. The individual involved is a 31-year-old male citizen of the Slovak Republic," reported the Customs Service.
Customs officers have seized the vials, and the unidentified liquid will undergo expert examination to determine its exact nature.
