Modern upgrades for 400 schools and kindergartens in Moldova. World Bank allocates $3.61 million

Two hundred kindergartens and 200 schools in the Republic of Moldova were equipped with new furniture, equipment and teaching materials. The investments made exceed the amount of 3.61 million dollars, money allocated by the World Bank through the "Improving the Quality of Education" project.
According to the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC), the total value of goods purchased last year for kindergartens was 1 million 336 thousand 800 dollars.
At the same time, investment in schools almost doubled, reaching 2 million 280 thousand dollars.
Among the equipment delivered to schools are computers, interactive whiteboards, school furniture and materials for science laboratories.
The MEC also purchased new furniture for primary classes in 30 "Model Schools" and, together with UNICEF, equipped over 70 educational institutions with modern technologies.
