Fighting continues in eastern Ukraine. Several people suffered following Russian bombings

Russian soldiers attack eastern Ukraine. At least 16 people have been killed and dozens more injured as a result of Russian bombing of several regions of Ukraine this week, Ukrainian authorities say. About 10,000 Ukrainian civilians, many of them elderly and disabled, are struggling to survive in dire conditions in and around the besieged city of Bahmut.

The Russian invaders bombed the city of Kherson, as a result of the attacks one person died and another was injured.

At the same time, the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, told Japan News that he had not received any proposal from China to mediate between Ukraine and Russia. Also, the leader from Kiev stated in his traditional nightly message to the people that Ukraine's infrastructure must be rebuilt with the help of foreign partners. In this context, the official talked with a delegation of the World Bank, with whom he addressed topics such as the reconstruction of infrastructure, economy and residential buildings in Ukraine.

"Current support programs for Ukraine were discussed. Of course, we focused on reconstruction - everything that needs to be done in many Ukrainian cities and villages that suffered terrorist attacks from the occupier. Residential buildings, social infrastructure, the economic base of the country - all this must be rebuilt".

The founder of the Wagner Group, Evgeny Prigojin, announced on Saturday that more than 5,000 prisoners had ended their contracts with the organization and were pardoned after serving in the Russian forces for six months.
