President Maia Sandu will host the President of Albania, Bajram Begaj, in Chisinau on Monday, January 19. President Begaj is scheduled to make an official visit to Moldova from January 18 to 20 at the invitation of the head of state.
According to a press release from the Presidency, "the discussions between the two heads of state aim to deepen bilateral cooperation, strengthen economic ties, and provide mutual support in the process of accession to the European Union."
Both the Republic of Albania and the Republic of Moldova are candidate countries for EU membership. In this context, the Albanian President's visit to Chișinău is intended to enhance cooperation between the two nations and increase the exchange of experiences related to European integration.
At the conclusion of the official meetings, the two heads of state will give joint press statements. This event is scheduled to begin at 11:25 AM.
Media representatives are invited to arrive at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic of Moldova between 10:55 AM and 11:15 AM. Access will be granted upon accreditation through the entrance on Maria Cebotari Str., reads the press release.
