"JCET-2023": military from four countries, including the Republic of Moldova, conduct joint training
Soldiers from four countries, including the Republic of Moldova, the USA and Romania, are conducting joint training as part of the multinational exercise "JCET-2023" (Joint Combined Exchange Training). MAI urges citizens not to speculate on the exercise and the movement of military equipment.
As stated by the Ministry of Defence, the exercise will take place at the training centres of the National Army from 27 March to 7 April this year and is aimed at joint training and exchange of experience between Moldovan, Romanian, American and British special forces, as well as increasing the level of interoperability between the participating contingents.
According to the scenario, the military from the four countries will perform advanced combat firing, parachuting, mission-specific field training exercises. "Joint Combined Exchange Training" is being conducted in accordance with the National Army's training plan for 2023.
"We inform the citizens that in the context of the conduct of the exercise "JCET 2023", the military technique will move from units to the training centers of the National Army to participate in training. In this regard, we ask citizens not to speculate on the exercise and the planned movement of military technique," the information note issued by the Ministry of Defence reads.
The soldiers of the Special Assignment Battalion "Lightning" of the National Army have been participating in the "JCET" since 2009.
