Marina Tauber remains under house arrest
The magistrates of the Chisinau Court of Appeal rejected the appeals of the lawyers and prosecutors and upheld the decision of the Chisinau Court, Ciocana headquarters of November 23, by which deputy Marina Tauber was placed under house arrest.
During the court session, party supporters organised a rally in front of the court. After the court hearing, Marina Tauber said that the lawyers representing her would file complaints.
"We will continue to fight. I am a peaceful and fair man, but I believe that when someone does physical and moral harm to someone, unjustly, then that person must answer. We will personally file complaints against the prosecutors and all those involved", declared Marina Tauber.
"ŞOR" Party MP Marina Tauber was released in September from Penitentiary No. 13, after two months of arrest. On October 18, Marina Tauber was released from house arrest and placed under judicial control for 30 days. The decision was pronounced by the magistrates of the Chisinau Court, Ciocana headquarters, who partially accepted the prosecutors' approach.
Later, the decision of the court was contested by the case prosecutor at the Chisinau Court of Appeal.
TRM.MD recalls that Tauber is targeted in two criminal cases based on the fact of knowingly accepting the financing of the ŞOR Party from an organized criminal group, as well as for falsifying the financial report with the intention of hiding the amount of accumulated financial means and the amount of means used by the political party.
The deputy pleads not guilty.
