Ludovic Orban: We are a nation. The Republic of Moldova must become part of Romania again
The Republic of Moldova must become part of Romania again. The statement was made by Ludovic Orban, chairman of the "Right Force" party, on Monday during the "In context" programme on Moldova 1. Orban also said that once the Romanian language became a state language, this once again shows that we are the same people.
"Between Romania and the Republic of Moldova there is such a strong bond, including from a legal point of view. There are about one million citizens of the Republic of Moldova who also hold Romanian citizenship. For me it is very important, I did not beat my chest with a brick, I did not make snide statements in favour of Romania. I am a man who believes that it is normal and natural for the present Republic of Moldova to become part of Romania again, and I have always taken steps in this direction", said Ludovic Orban.
The politician also mentioned that over the years there has always been Russian propaganda in our country, but now things have changed.
"Even today there are still remnants of the propaganda carried by the Russians, first and then by the Soviets, systematically carried on all media channels, including after the declaration of independence of the Republic of Moldova, but I think that finally from a symbolic point of view, from an official point of view, we have reached a situation that has a particularly great impact, namely that Romanian is the official state language in the Republic of Moldova", Ludovic Orban stressed.
The politician believes that more steps need to be taken to interconnect the Republic of Moldova to Romania's high-voltage grids so that the authorities in Chisinau are no longer blackmailed by the Russian Federation.
