Moldovan Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu arrives in Kyiv for inaugural official visit

Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu arrived in Kyiv today, February 10, marking his first official mission to the Ukrainian capital since taking office.

The visit was announced by the Head of the Executive shortly before arrival. Munteanu is leading a high-level government delegation, including the Ministers of Internal Affairs, Energy, and Infrastructure and Regional Development.

Strategic alignment and European goals

The delegation, which includes Vladimir Bolea, Daniella Misail-Nichitin, and Dorin Junghietu, aims to bolster bilateral cooperation. Discussions with Ukrainian counterparts will focus on the European integration trajectory of both nations and regional security.

According to official statements, the mission serves to reaffirm Moldova’s steadfast solidarity with the Ukrainian people in their struggle for independence and freedom.

Regional stability in focus

The visit takes place against a backdrop of significant security challenges. It reflects Chisinau’s commitment to maintaining an active dialogue with Ukraine, a key strategic partner and direct neighbor.

The talks emphasize the joint effort to ensure regional stability while accelerating the process of becoming full members of the European Union.
