New nurseries: nearly 300 million lei requested, 135 million lei available
A total of over 298 million lei has been requested from the National Fund for Regional and Local Development (FNDRL) to support the establishment of 102 nurseries. This funding request is part of the third edition of the National Program titled "Public nursery services - employed parents, children in nurseries."
Applications were submitted between January 15 and February 14. The evaluation committee has 45 days to analyze the files and decide on the funding.
The budget available for this call is 135.5 million lei.
Approved projects will be included in the Single Program Document and must receive approval at a Government meeting.
Each applicant can receive up to 10 million lei in funding for a project, with city halls able to contribute up to 15% in co-financing.
The National Program "Public nursery services - employed parents, children in nursery schools" aims to support the establishment of new nursery groups, equip them, and construct annexes for early education institutions. This program is designed for local public authorities at the first level, including the municipalities of Chisinau and Balti.
The Government has committed to creating over 5,000 new places in nursery services by 2027. To achieve this goal, the Executive will allocate 385 million lei from the state budget over the next two years.
