Pay your health insurance quickly, straight from your phone

Individuals required to pay the mandatory health insurance premium in the Republic of Moldova can do so quickly and easily, including through the EVO application, directly from their mobile phones, according to the National Health Insurance Company (CNAM).
This digital option streamlines the payment process and reduces the time spent at counters or banks.
According to CNAM, making timely payments is essential for maintaining a functional healthcare system and ensuring access to comprehensive medical services for all citizens.
“Take advantage of a fantastic discount until March! If you pay directly through EVO, you'll receive a cashback of 150 lei,” is the message to citizens.
The health insurance premium for 2026 remains unchanged from last year, set at 12,636 lei. However, individuals who need to insure themselves can benefit significantly by paying the premium by March 31 of this year. During this period, taxpayers can take advantage of facilities and discounts, reducing their payment to 2,527 lei instead of the standard 12,636 lei.
Pensioners, students, mothers of young children, and individuals with disabilities who are insured by the state and own agricultural land will no longer be required to pay for health insurance.
Additionally, owners of agricultural land, founders of individual enterprises, individuals leasing material goods or engaged in independent activities, as well as foreigners with permanent residency or beneficiaries of international protection will need to pay 2,527 lei for their health insurance policy. In 2025, owners of agricultural land paid only 1,264 lei.
In 2026, mediators, notaries, lawyers, bailiffs, judicial experts working within a judicial expertise office, interpreters, translators, and authorized administrators—regardless of their legal organization—alongside unemployed individuals holding a certificate, license, or authorization as stipulated by law, as well as unemployed family doctors who practice independently, will be required to pay 5,686 lei for their medical insurance. This amount is over 600 lei higher than what was charged in 2025. To qualify for this rate, the payment must be made by March 31, 2026.
