Industrial zone for multiple businesses is being developed in Trușeni

The collaboration between entrepreneurs and local authorities creates jobs and delivers tangible benefits to the community. In Truşeni, located in the Chişinău municipality, an industrial zone is being established to accommodate various businesses, including a furniture factory, a textile factory, and warehouses. City Hall has assisted small entrepreneurs in obtaining the necessary permits to begin construction. Among those benefiting from this initiative are Moldovans who have worked abroad and have chosen to return home.

After more than 20 years of living in Italy, Nicolae Croitoru has decided to return to the Republic of Moldova and start his own business. He owns a furniture production workshop and views the construction of the industrial zone as a significant opportunity.

"We gathered some funds that we invested, and with the help of our local banks, we are aiming to expand and export our products. In our factory, we expect to employ around 100 people, but we plan to relocate to a bigger facility in a year and a half," says the entrepreneur.

The industrial zone will include a furniture factory, a textile production unit, a space for the sale of construction materials, and warehouses.

"We are building warehouses for our own use. We have a company that rents construction equipment throughout the Republic of Moldova, and for now, we are doing it for ourselves. We have the necessary authorizations, and everything is in place; we will start when the time is right. By the end of the year, we aim to have everything completed," Nicolae Croitoru explained.

To support local entrepreneurs, the Trușeni City Hall has facilitated the acquisition of authorizations, permits, and the administrative procedures necessary to initiate construction.

"It is very important for us that economic agents maintain a good relationship with the City Hall, and that our doors are always open for them," officials stated.

During his visit to Trușeni, Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu highlighted that this project represents an effective model of collaboration and partnership with local authorities, which are actively involved in supporting the business environment.

"We need to transform the entire Republic of Moldova into a construction site. Small entrepreneurs are finally beginning to invest. As a government, we have various programs to assist entrepreneurs. I understand there are still challenges, particularly regarding infrastructure, but we will make progress step by step," declared the Prime Minister.

The industrial zone in Trușeni, covering 50 hectares, is designed to accommodate up to 12 entrepreneurs, according to local authorities.
