Government appoints Nicolae Vutcariov as new head of the State Labor Inspectorate
Nicolae Vutcariov, former Deputy Director of the Customs Service, was appointed to head the State Labor Inspectorate. The Government approved this appointment during its meeting on February 25.
The Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Natalia Plugaru, emphasized the professional and managerial experience of the new director, who previously worked in the field of preventing and combating corruption.
“He has worked in key state institutions, including the Customs Service, the National Anticorruption Center (CNA), and the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office, where he managed complex investigations,” highlighted Natalia Plugaru.
Nicolae Vutcariov served as the Deputy Director of the Customs Service for 2.5 years. He announced his resignation in April 2024, coinciding with the appointment of a new interim director following Igor Talmazan's departure.
Since November 2021, Vutcariov has been working in the Anti-Fraud and Compliance Department of the Customs Service. Prior to that, he held various positions at the CNA for several years.
New State Secretary at the Ministry of Justice
In the same meeting, the Government approved the appointment of a new State Secretary at the Ministry of Justice. At the proposal of Minister Vladislav Cojuhari, Dumitru Vreju will join the team starting February 26.
Reconfirmations and resignations
In the context of the transfer of institutions from the subordination of the Government to that of the Ministry of Education, Veaceslav Reabcinschii was reconfirmed as the director of the Agency for Interethnic Relations, and Aurelia Hanganu was reconfirmed as the director of the National Agency for Research and Development.
Aliona Castraveț was appointed as deputy director for phytosanitary products at the National Agency for Food Safety, having previously held the position on an interim basis.
Additionally, the Executive approved Iulian Cotenco's resignation from the position of deputy director of the Moldsilva Agency, based on his submitted request, as he is transferring to another role.
