Ciucă said that he discussed with his Swedish counterpart, Ulf Kristersson, Bucharest's efforts to support Moldova in the face of the hybrid war launched by Russia, but also about sanctioning those who want to destabilize our country.

"We have called for support in the EU Council to sanction those who want to destabilise the Republic of Moldova and thus undermine its constitutional order and rule of law. I stressed that Romania is and will remain an active promoter of Moldova's integration into the European family and a firm supporter of its sovereignty and territorial integrity within internationally recognised borders", said Nicolae Ciucă.

Nicolae Ciucă also discussed with his Swedish counterpart, Ulf Kristersson, the trilateral format launched last September with Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova to offer them help in the field of energy.

The challenges facing our country were also addressed by the Romanian Prime Minister at the Public Conference "Threats and Opportunities in the Black Sea Area", held in Stockholm.

"Speaking about resilience, let me say a few words here about the Republic of Moldova, which is facing these days a real attack on its democracy and stability from Moscow. We must support our neighbours to overcome this difficult challenge! I want to add that I also discussed with the Swedish Prime Minister what more we can do for the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine. On the other hand, we need to address the hard resilience issues: energy, transport, digital infrastructure. Our infrastructure needs to be developed, interconnected and well protected. At all times, the involvement of the private sector is a key element for the success of connectivity policies", said Prime Minister Ciucă in his speech.
