Heavy traffic at the Sculeni border crossing on exit from Moldova
At the Sculeni border customs post, there is increased traffic of passengers and vehicles, with the exit direction from the Republic of Moldova being congested.
According to the Customs Service, efforts are underway to streamline cross-border traffic, and operations are being conducted at maximum capacity.
At the Sculeni crossing point, the Border Police has implemented the Entry/Exit System (EES), which includes additional control procedures that may affect the duration of border crossings.
To avoid long wait times, travellers are advised to choose alternative crossing points in advance, such as Costești, Leova, or Cahul.
The Customs and Border Police Service stated that it will continue to provide updates as the situation evolves.
