Nearly 300 schools and kindergartens in Moldova now use advanced digital technology

A total of 290 schools and kindergartens nationwide will receive advanced digital technologies to enhance infrastructure and education quality. The Ministry of Education and Research says the new tools will make lessons more engaging and effective.
The project exceeds 15.5 million lei and will benefit over 100,000 students and children, as well as around 15,000 teachers.
The investment is part of the “Improving Education Quality” program, implemented by the ministry with support from the World Bank.
The selected institutions are part of a larger group of 200 schools and 200 kindergartens chosen through a public competition to receive new furniture, modern equipment, and teaching materials.
The institutions’ administrations directly selected the items, and most of the equipment was delivered last year.

The ministry emphasizes that these investments aim to expand access to modern educational technologies in both urban and rural areas, supporting the development of a competitive education system aligned with current needs.
The new batch includes over 1,600 educational devices, including IT equipment, interactive tools, and other resources essential for modern teaching and learning.
The initiative forms part of a broader education investment program focused on digitalizing learning, upgrading infrastructure, and improving study conditions.
In recent years, the Ministry of Education and Research has invested over 500 million lei in the sector, in collaboration with international partners, including the World Bank.
