Maia Sandu: The Republic of Moldova supports the set up of an international court that will investigate the crimes committed by Russia in Ukraine

The Republic of Moldova supports the creation of a special international court that will investigate and prosecute the aggression and crimes committed by Russia in Ukraine, said the country's president, Maia Sandu, during her visit to Kiev where she participated with president Volodimir Zelenski at the Bucea 2023 Summit.

Also, Maia Sandu assured her counterpart that the Republic of Moldova will continue to stand by Ukraine and its brave people who are fighting for their freedom and for our peace.

We remind you that the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, paid a visit to Ukraine on Friday, March 31, where she participated in the Bucea 2023 Summit, at the invitation of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenski.

Ukraine marked on March 31 one year since Russian troops withdrew from the Kiev suburb of Bucea, leaving the bodies of executed civilians littering the streets, which has become a symbol of alleged Russian war crimes. A year after the massacre that horrified the whole world, the president of Ukraine came with a message on social networks in which he assured: all those responsible will answer for the crimes committed.
